Job description

AVP to Director level Python Developer to join a Multi Asset group within a top performing Hedge Fund and develop front office pricing/risk tools used by traders. 

Supporting traders and other trading groups with daily interaction with the business. 

Strong Python and finance skills are required, and experience in working directly with the business and supporting traders with applications/tools. 

Experience: 

The Ideal candidate would have experience within a Buy side or Technology firms working as a Developer/Engineer involved in the development of Front Office systems/tools for the trading desks.

Experience with C++ is beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong Python skills
  • Experience working with Pricing/Risk tools for the business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Building new front office tools.
  • Enhancing existing tools.
  • Interacting with the trading desk and different trading groups.
  • Working independently to complete projects. 

Academic Background:

  • Financial MSc or PhD in a ‘Computer Science’ or STEM subject.
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
